DABO－China, We Are Ready!
Clear water, blue sky, and golden beach…
On July 4, with DABO, a green product developed by the Natural Resources Canada, IFCS visited this beautiful city, Qingdao, participating in the annual International Exhibition on Green Industry. Like most of the renowned international enterprises, promoting energy saving & emission reduction and advocating green life has become an important label for IFCS. DABO’s visit to Qingdao added more vivid color to this northern city of China.
In the exhibition booth of IFCS, DABO, the world-level intelligent energy management technology for buildings, undoubtedly attracted huge attention from numerous visitors.
An Overview of the Energy Background in China and the World:
Buildings are responsible for at least 40% of energy use in most countries. The absolute figure is rising fast, as construction booms, especially in countries such as China and India. It is essential to act now, because buildings can make a major contribution to tackling climate change and energy use.
The International Energy Agency (IEA) estimates that current trends in energy demand for buildings will stimulate about half of energy supply investments to 2030. Emergency actions are in great need to reduce building energy consumption. If 
building site energy consumption in China and India grows to current US levels, China’s and India’s consumption will be respectively about four and seven times greater than they are today. China will possess 40% of commercial buildings around the world by 2020.
We can dramatically improve energy efficiency today with existing technologies. Businesses that engage early with energy efficiency for buildings can gain a market advantage. A building has a long life cycle, so its effect on the environment is a long and continuing issue to consider. In answer to all the above mentioned questions, DABO was developed as an excellent product bringing bliss to the energy efficiency management analysis of buildings.
All participants listened carefully to the presentation and raised relevant questions about DABO.
There was a harmonious and active 
atmosphere at the seminar. Building energy saving and effective management being a great concern in the China building industry, DABO has also become a hot topic on building energy efficiency management.
On July 8, 2010 at the Palais des Congrès of Montréal IFCS officially launched the DABO software.
Among the attendees, there were: Mario Poirier, Property Manager of the Palais des Congrès; Geoff Munro, Chief Scientist and Assistant Deputy Minister of Natural Resources Canada; Gilles Jean, director of CanmetÉNERGIE; Xavier Bonifay, IFCS president.
The event brought key players from the Quebec real estate sector and the dedicated press together; it was a unique opportunity for the DABO software public presentation. Many famous news media of Canada also reported on the launching event in detail. DABO attracted extensive attention in Canada overnight! 
Not long time after the conference, Xavier Bonifay, CEO of IFCS, presented DABO on a famous TV network in Quebec called TVA on the channel called "Canal Argent" which means "Money Channel". Xavier Bonifay was interviewed for 6 minutes at "Argent Maintenant" , meaning "Money Now".
